Get rid of the image of celebrities as role models. There is no merit in attempting to emulate a person for their celebrity status alone. Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are two perfect examples.
The only thing making them famous is their namesake and their outlandish behavior. Not surprisingly both have had run-ins with the law and both have had problems with alcohol.
Lionel Richie’s Daughter Gets DUI
December of 2006 proved to be the month of DUI's it seemed from a celebrity stand point, thus celebrity wannabe Nicole Richie needed to get in on the action. Richie was witnessed driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway and when she was pulled over was found to be under the influence of Vicodin and Marijuana.
Alcohol may not have been a contributing factor from a legal stand point, but DUI is DUI no matter the substance and Richie was sentenced to serve four days in jail, fined $2,048, was ordered to take an alcohol awareness class and got three years of probation.
Playmate DUI
A former Playboy Playmate, Jennifer Lynn Jackson was pulled over in Ohio on June 30th 2007. The 38-year-old was caught with a large amount of beer bottles, marijuana and rolling papers in her car.
Her breath analysis test showed her with an alcohol level of 0.077 with the legal limit in the country being 0.08. She initially pleaded not guilty, however the field tests failed were caught on police video camera and are all over the internet showing how the Playmate almost fell into the road and barely missed being hit by traffic.
These two are just a couple of many who should not be role models for anyone.
